ELA Today is a free professional learning community that provides educators and curriculum leaders with a place to collaborate on best practices for teaching English Language Arts in K12 today. We will explore new insights on supporting students in the five categories of ELA: reading, writing, speaking, listening and viewing. Together we will work on preparing all students for success in college, career, and life by sharing strategies and tips on skills for successful use of language, including:

  • Online and in-person communication
  • Literacy in research, technology, and media
  • Strategies and tools for English Language Learners
  • Critical thinking and problem-solving
  • Self-efficacy and self-reflection
  • Collaboration skills and tools
  • Visual literacy/interpreting images
